Poll of the Day: Fishback Raises Measly $950 in Florida Gubernatorial Race

James Fishback, the controversial self-proclaimed groyper and hedge fund manager who is seeking the republican nomination for Florida governor reported a measly $950 in fundraising for his campaign. Fishback, who has aligned himself with Nick Fuentes and hurled racist remarks at opponent Byron Donalds, has accumulated a sizeable following on social media following his promotions on a “sin tax” on OnlyFans and his description of Donalds (who is Black) as a “slave to his donors”

The $950 raised also had very few small donors. His largest donation was $500, from a fireman in Palm Bay, according to Florida Politics. His campaign treasurer chipped in a hefty fifty dollars to the fund. Fishback disputes the number and claims that his campaign is on track to raise 250,000 dollars, however this seems to be the official reported fundraising number.

The clear leader in the race, Bryon Donalds cleared the field in the early fundraising season raising 45 million dollars. Donalds, the congressman representing the 19th district in Florida, has received strong praise from President Trump during his campaign. Trump has described him as a “TOTAL WINNER” and a “highly respected congressman” who would advance the “America First Agenda” as governor. Polls suggest Donald has a strong lead over all Republican candidates and in a general election he maintains a 10 to 12% percent lead on both potential democrat candidates (University of North Florida). Donald’s seems to poll at a level similar to Desantis even with a smaller name. Desantis is term limited and cannot run for reelection.
